Remember to stop and offer thanks for the wonder of it.” Remember, as if we would forget. Indeed, the assumption is that we will forget. And history has proven that, given enough time, we will.
Yes, I need so much reminding. We all do. I need to hear the gospel every day. I need to have those words that I am a beloved child of God shoved down into my soul on the regular. I need to remember that I am free and that God’s only wish is for me to know that I am eternally loved and forgiven. And that my life — every breath of it — is an utter gift. Everything that I have received is a blessing.
